Urethane 374-31-6 is an off-white, two-part aliphatic urethane adhesive/sealant. It offers excellent adhesion to a variety of substrates, including metals, most plastics, FRP, composites, fabrics and many elastomers. Its low viscosity and low exotherm provide for fast, smooth application and reduce the potential for stress and movement cracking in highly stressed bonds.
Urethane 374-31-6 is a non-sagging paste that stands up to industrial-grade exposure and is resistant to many chemicals, solvents, and oils. It cures to a tough, rubbery material with superior flexibility and impact resistance. The cured material shows good resistance to static set and creep. It has a high shear strength, good adhesion and high load-bearing capacity. It is also UL, NSF, and FDA approved and is suitable for use in temperature ranges from -60˚F to 250˚F, making it ideal for a variety of indoor and outdoor applications.
When exposed to elevated temperatures, compounded parts of Urethane 374-31-6 form a thermosetting bond that is stable and durable. It bonds to most substrates instantly and undergoes a controlled cure with minimal shrinkage to guarantee reliable and permanent sealing. The cured material has excellent excellent weatherability, so it will not break down due to exposure to the elements. Urethane 374-31-6 can be easily applied using standard caulking gun, syringe or plastisol applicators. It can be used as an adhesive, sealant, caulk or as a joint-filling compound.
