Tetrahydrofurfuryl Alcohol is a clear, yellow liquid with a faint, sweet and slightly alcoholic odor. It is a secondary alcohol derived from furfural, which is produced from the dehydration of the carbohydrates in corn cob, wheat husk, and other plant materials. Tetrahydrofurfuryl Alcohol is used as an intermediate in the production of resins, varnishes, and lacquers. It is also used in the production of detergents, solvents, and anaerobic sealants, as well as in pharmaceuticals, perfumes, and cosmetics.

Tetrahydrofurfuryl Alcohol is a low-volatility, low-toxicity compound used as an intermediate in the synthesis of a variety of products. It is highly soluble in water, ethanol, and many other organic solvents. It is also miscible in most organic solvents, including ethylene glycol, glycerin, and acetic acid. The compound has a low vapour pressure and a low flash point, making it suitable for use in many applications.

Tetrahydrofurfuryl Alcohol is used as an intermediate in the production of resins, varnishes, and lacquers. It is also used in the production of detergents, solvents, and anaerobic sealants, as well as in pharmaceuticals, perfumes, and cosmetics. Tetrahydrofurfuryl Alcohol is also used as a fuel and antiknock additive, and has been shown to have antifungal and antibacterial properties.

Tetrahydrofurfuryl Alcohol is a low-toxicity compound and has a low risk of bioaccumulation. It is not expected to persist in the environment and is not known to accumulate in the food chain. It is not considered to be a carcinogen, mutagen, or teratogen, and is not expected to have any adverse effects on the environment.
